A Day in the Life of a Refugee Child
[Early Morning]
Mother: Shukhon, wake up, my son. It’s almost time for Fajr prayer.
Shukhon: Yes, mother. I’m getting up now.
[Shukhon walks to the mosque and prays. Afterward, he returns home.]
Mother: Breakfast is ready. Eat well before your class.
Shukhon: Thank you, mother! [He starts eating his rice.]
Father: How do you feel today, son?
Shukhon: I feel good! I’m excited for class today.
[Morning – Learning Centre]
[Shukhon grabs his book bag and runs to the learning centre.]
Teacher: Good morning, class! Let’s start with reading numbers today. Shukhon, would you like to lead?
Shukhon: Yes, teacher! [He stands in front of the class and reads from the board.]
Friend: You are so good at reading, Shukhon!
