BLACK AWARENESS DAY
In Brazil, Black awareness day is celebrated annually on November 20 as a day to regain awareness about the black community's worth and contribution to the country.
Originality, it was celebrated on May 13 (the date of abolition of slavery in Brazil) & was later moved to November 20 to honour Zumbi dos Palmares' death, who was a Brazilian quilombola leader and one of the pioneers of resistance to slavery of Africans in colonial Brazil.
