PLS 428 Exam 1 guideline How to prepare Exam duration 12 hours Tuesday October 18 from 9am to 9pm Questions will be released via Canvas and students need to submit their responses in Canvas using either Microsoft word or pdf document attachments Essaytype questions Rubric for grading is as follows Has the student answered the question 4 Has the student used arguments based on course readingslecturesclass discussions 4 Logical flow of the answer Logic of argument and flow order of ideas 3 Within wordlimit 6001000 words for each question 3 Level of clarity in communicating the answer 8 Organization Introduction main body and conclusion Use topic sentences for paragraphs Clear full sentences Transitions check this Paraphrase rather than use a direct quote Has the student provided examples to explain herhis answer 3 Students are advised to prepareresearch probable questions see below using class notesreadingsslides Late submission Delay in submission will result in 20 grade deduction for first 6 hours after the due time 50 deduction if 612 hours late and a zero thereafter In other words if a student submits it at 905 am on the next day then she will get a zero for this exam It is your responsibility to make sure you submit the answers on time Avoid submitting at the last minute Emailing me after the due time is still counted as a late submission Revise your answers before submitting Your answers will go through the plagiarism software
